Description

This method ensures that the gate's sealing surface is pushed against the valve seat on the other side by the medium pressure, maintaining a secure seal – a concept known as self-sealing. While many slide valves employ forced sealing, where external force is applied to press the gate against the valve seat during closure for optimal sealing.
